Background

Under the guidance and direct supervision of the RR/RC the Communications, Advocacy and Partnerships Specialist in Tanzania, a Delivering as One (DaO) country, ensures the formulation and implementation of strategies to enhance the visibility of joint UN initiatives at normative and operational level, enhances the interface with senior government officials at central and local levels, and guides the overall outreach of the RCO and UNCT with regards to priorities of the UNCT as it enters its next UNDAP. Since 2007 Tanzania has been piloting the UN Delivering as One reform initiatives and one new area that has been adopted in the new DOCO SOPs is Communicating as One. The overall purpose of UN reforms is to unify and align UN agency programmes in order to more efficiently and effectively deliver results.
