KEY DUTIES
To support the Internal and External communication programs for Tanzania Postal Bank.
The Corporate Affairs Officer will work closely with the Chief Manager Corporate Affairs to identify stories of interest about the bank, its products and its services.
This work may include writing and pitching press releases, maintaining links with national and local media, maintaining media database, creating monthly e-alerts, writing and posting new stories on the TPB Website, monitoring media coverage.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Conducting media conferences and tours
2. Cutting and filling media coverage about TPB on a daily basis
3. Handling responses to inquiries from the media
4. Updating the Website on a daily basis
5. Preparing Website and intranet contents
6. Undertaking customer loyalty programs
7. Undertaking donations events
8. Responding to complaints
9. Conducting office and branch tours and guest reception activities
10. Maintaining TPB’s PR archive
11. Ensure proper filling of all documents and leters of the unit
12. To undertake any other duties assigned by the CMCA
EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree/in Mass Communication, Public Relations, Marketing from any recognized University or equivalent qualification.
Experience and skills:
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- One year experience in Banking Sector
- Strong computer skills and flexibility in working with several Windows-based programs (Word, Excel, Power Point) including knowledge of the internet and Microsoft Outlook
- Ability to work well in a team situation
- Great attention to detail and follow-through
- Superior organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and information quickly and efficiently, as well as multi-task
- Absolute dependability and ability to maintain confidentiality
- A good sense of humour
