Objectives:
Remote support execution of all project activities in the telecommunication network (Radio Access Network including BTS, node-B, BSC, RNC and future generations). Implementation of new access network elements, such as complex site integrations and capacity expansions. Remote support and perform Transmission Change Requests (TCR’s), like site rehosting and transmission line cut-over. Perform complex Trouble Shooting in rollout and project based environment on a daily basis, focusing on preventative actions and quality improvement. Give technical assistance and support to contractors and field engineers in carrying-out complex operations or solving difficult network problems
Key Responsibilities:
• Remotely implementing and execution of all complex and non complex activities in the Radio access network (BTS, node-B, BSC, RNC and future generations)
• Implementation of new software releases in the radio access network elements such as complex site, repeater integrations and capacity expansions.
• Remote support and perform Transmission Change Requests (TCR’s), like site rehosting, re-homing, leased-line to microwave cutovers and DDF migrations etc.
• Commissioning , integration and capacity upgrades of BSC,RNC
• Configuring and upgrading the capacity of all critical and non critical elements in the radio and data network. Resource allocation management /Path provisioning.
• Implementation of optimization activities in the radio network
• Perform Trouble Shooting in Deployment, Design and Optimization project based environment on a daily basis, focusing on preventative actions and quality improvement
• Give technical assistance and support to contractors and field engineers in carrying-out complex operations or solving difficult network problems
• Accountable for keep software- tools up to date
Key Qualifications / Experience / Skills:
• Advanced Diploma or University degree in Telecommunication engineering/ Electronic/ Information Technology Engineering/ Computer Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years experience in telecommunication environment as well as proficient in project management software with a high level knowledge of mobile telecommunications and able to remotely configure and build all elements in the Radio access network
• Fluency in English is required, strong verbal and written communication is essential
• Active decision-making; committing oneself by expressing opinions, taking action.
• Complying with organisational policy and/ or procedures; seeking confirmation from the proper authorities in case of ambiguous or changing circumstances.
• Coming up with original solutions for job.
• Setting high standards regarding the quality of products and services and acting accordingly.
• Demonstrating awareness of social, political and economic developments and using this knowledge effectively for one's own job or organisation.
• Drawing correct and realistic conclusions based on the information available.
