STORES OFFICERS – (2 POSTS –DAR)
POSITION SUMMARY
Ifakara Health Institute (IHI) seeks exceptional individuals to strengthen the stores in Finance & Accounts department to meet standards of excellence required of a world-class research institute. Stores Officer reports to Senior Stores Officer will be responsible for day to day running of store unit within the portfolio of receiving of stores recording and issuing.
DUTIES OF STORES OFFICER.
• Initiation of purchase requisitions for stock items.
• Receiving and issuing of stores
• Prepare accountability of stores received, transfers and issues.
• Check inventory records for accuracy.
• Processing suppliers invoices for payment.
• Follow up to ensure advance payments have been received and properly accounted for.
• Calculating minimum and maximum stock levels so as to ensure efficient use of stock.
• Participate in the annual stock taking.
• Insure store items are well arranged and the store Unit is clean.
Ensure that stores records are well safeguarded
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE.
• First Degree or Advanced Diploma in Procurement and Supplies or equivalent.
