• Be Graduate Registered Professional Engineer by Engineers Registration Board will be added advantage;

•Be capable of delivering expected results and ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
•Must be computer literate.

LIGHT CURRENT TECHNICIAN 01 POST
Reports To: Light Current Engineer

POSITION OBJECTIVE
•Execution of all planned maintenance works of light current in plants, grid & distribution substations, with objective of ensuring smooth operation of power system within the grid and off Grid network.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
•Compile basic, pre-defined reports / documentation relating to work completed, under supervision.
•Test, and repair all telecommunication equipment and circuits (VHF radio communication, Power line communication, Optical fibres, DC system, Telephony system) in both offices and substations under minimum supervision.
•Install, maintain various types of telecommunication and supervisory equipment to include VHF, DC system, PLC, excitation system, fibres optic equipment, and phone systems.
•Perform scheduled preventative maintenance; answer emergency and trouble calls; conduct routine inspections.
•Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors
•dapt all safety regulations to meet specific operational requirements/circumstances and enforces all required safety regulations.
•Identify the source of a technical problem, repair or change the part power and communication network.
•Study and understand the specifications of all installed telecom/electronics equipment.
•To attend any other assignments as may be directed by your immediate supervisors from time to time.

PROFESSIONAL AND MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS.
• FTC in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering or holder of (Ordinary Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering) or equivalent qualification from any recognized Institutions.

REMUNERATION
An attractive compensation package based on performance and commensurate with the responsibility will apply to successful candidates. All positions’ terms of employment are performance based contracts.
