TIB Corporate Finance Limited is a designated Commercial Bank subsidiary of TIB Development Bank Limited, It was formed from the hived-off commercial banking activities of the restructured Tanzania Investment Bank Limited.
Under the Banking and Financial institutions (Development Finance) Regulation of 2012, commercial banking activities are to be separated from the core Development Financing undertakings. The TIB Corporate Finance Limited's (CFL) main functions are to carry on corporate banking business across a network of branches, agencies and departments. MANAGER, CREDIT RISK AND
SECURITY' DOCUMENTATION
JOB PURPOSE
The job holder will report to the Director of Credit and will be responsible for executing credit administration tasks that ensure maintenance of quality lending portfolio' in respect to risk monitoring and control. Implementing changes and/or improvements to establish robust control systems (policies, processes and tools) as well as maintaining safe custody of loans/advances securities.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure established credit administration systems (polices , processes and tools) are consistently and effectively applied to achieve optimal compliance~ efficiency and cost containment.
Prepare 'credit offer letters and other standard security documents in line with approved credit requests
Ensure that all required security documentation is in place prior to disbursements.
Provide quality management and control of safe custody of the bank's security and other facility documents to include the lodgement, withdrawal, release and reassignment, as appropriate.
Monitor movement of security documents between the bank and service providers ensuring that all key required documents are submitted and perfected accordingly.
Manage and closely follow-up preparation and registration of security documents with law firms to ensure firm control and security of properties during lending period.
Maintain up to date credit/security documentation systems to ensure close monitoring and follow-up of expired facilities and documents to allow for timely reviews.
Put in place an MIS system that will enable continuous tracking of the department's performance and provision of management and external reports .
Prepare and update progress tracking report of security documents to ensure proper
Perfect on and mitigate risks from losses due to imperfection of securities.'
Initiate draw downs or disbursements as deemed appropriate by approval authorities pending perfection of documentation and mitigation of the associated risks.
Prepare data entries and capture data in the core banking system and other systems related to credit risk administration.
Maintain, update and follow up on insurance and ensure the business is regularly advised, on actions to be taken.
Attend to external and internal customer queries ensuring close and timely feedback.
Perform any other related duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor from time to time.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
Essential
Holders of Master's Degree/ Post graduate qualifications in fields of Accounting,
Commerce, Economics or relates discipline from a recognized University/Institution.
Professional Qualification in banking will be an added advantage.
A minimum of six years 'Working experience in Corporate Banking with at least three years in senior position especially in Credit Administration.
Excellent understanding of banking products.
Preferred
Knowledge of financial reporting process.
Effective communication skills to manage customer expectations (internal and external) and other stakeholders who impact performance.
Knowledge of computer software 'for managing, reviewing and analyzing, commercial credit applications especially Credit-Quest.
Knowledge and effective application of all relevant banking policies, processes, procedures and regulatory guidelines to consistently achieve required compliance standards or benchmarks.
Ability to formulate and perform constant review of the Credit analysis processes.
Good communication; writing and presentation skills.
Computer Literate.
