POST: 2.Laboratory Technician (1 Post)
Reports to the Senior Laboratory Technician
Core Job Description:
To assist the Senior Laboratory Technician on handling daily operation of Laboratory unit including determining patients' health and diagnosing diseases.
Key Accountabilities
To perform laboratory investigations in Parasitological, Haematoloqy, Blood transfusion, Bacteriology, Clinical Chemistry and Histopathology.
To monitor and keep laboratory equipment and laboratory reagents properly.
To keep laboratory investigation records in a confidential ,manner and ensuring that they are available whenever they are required for reference.
To provide technical support and advise to subordinates and other hospital units.
Preparation of Reagents
Any other duty that may be assigned by Senior
Laboratory Technician or Senior Medical Officer
Personal Specifications
The applicant should have Diploma in Laboratory Science from recognized institute, must be registered with Medical Laboratory Scientists Association of Tanzania (MeLSAT).
Also knowledgeable in computer i.e. Ms Word, Excel, Outlook will be an added advantage
