TIB Corporate Finance Limited is a designated Commercial Bank subsidiary of TIB Development Bank Limited, It was formed from the hived-off commercial banking activities of the restructured Tanzania Investment Bank Limited.
Under the Banking and Financial institutions (Development Finance) Regulation of 2012, commercial banking activities are to be separated from the core Development Financing undertakings. The TIB Corporate Finance Limited's (CFL) main functions are to carry on corporate banking business across a network of branches, agencies and departments. The Corporate Bank is fully fledged to operate as a commercial bank, with powers to Receive and accept deposits, make collections, invest, lend money and conduct any other related commercial banking services required for its primary corporate clientele and general public.

Credit Analyst
JOB PURRPOSE
The job holder will report to the Unit Head Credit
Analysis and will be responsible for supporting the sales team through the structuring of credit solutions arid management of the credit analysis
function by performing credit appraisals, comprehensive industry studies, conducting credit
reviews and evaluating risk of ,credits within the assigned portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Financial analysis;' of corporate- customers using credit skills; ratio analysis; balance
sheet and cashflow analysis and projections evaluation of security; evaluation of parent support policies; judgment of management and strategy.
Evaluation and understanding of risk associated with individual transactions,
products and borrowers as well as managing to mitigate credit risk in the portfolio
In partnership with Relationship Managers prepare quality credit applications.
Participate regularly in account planning sessions to ensure familiarity of customer
business ..
Visit/meet customers when required in order to achieve clear understanding of the credit risks associated with their businesses.
Ensure that the approval procedures, standards of credit and maintenance, conform to controls/procedures established by Director of Credit for the business unit,
Assist sales force to monitor credit quality by highlighting early warning signs of credit deterioration.
Ensure compliance with bank's credit policy and to ensure that bank's credit policy breaches are properly authorized at the correct senior approving level.
Provide high level of service to the internal customer base based on accuracy, responsiveness and turnaround time.
Control of customers' daily excesses.
Monitor receipt and analyses of financial information for annual review.
Preparation of account statistics for annual review.
Remain Alert to the risk of Money laundering and assist in the Bank's effort in combating it by adhering to the key principles in relation to identifying your customer, knowing your customer, reporting suspicions, safe guarding records and not disclosing suspicions to
customers" .
Perform any other related duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualification, Knowledge and Experience
Essential,
Bachelor Degree qualifications in fields of Accounting, . Commerce, Economics, or
related discipline from a recognized University/Institution.
A minimum of three years working experience in credit function.
Strong financial and analytical skills.
Understanding and experienced with banking credit facilities.
Competent in facility structuring.
Thorough understanding of the Bank's credit
Policies.
Knowledge of securities documentation and legal remedies available to the bank.
Experience in working closely with legal and Corporate Banking teams.
Preferred
Knowledge in banking lending products.
Knowledge of computer software for managing, reviewing and analyzing commercial credit applications especially Credit Quest.
Effective and persuasive leadership style; comfortable at all levels of an organization.
Excellent communication, writing and presentation skills.
