Situated in the heart of Vienna, Austria, the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) is offering a full-time internship opportunity in the IT Development Group of the Data Services Department.
The IT Development Group has the responsibility of developing and maintaining up-to-date IT applications and database systems, and providing specialized documentation and references.
The intern will be able to develop her/his professional experience through direct exposure to IT projects. In return, the intern will be responsible for:

- Exploring possible improvements of the information architecture of the intranet
- Investigating the pros and cons of existing coding technologies
- Investigating possible areas for improvements in terms of user interaction and navigation
- Designing user interaction based on “Model View Controller” with filters, views and workflows
Duration: Three months.
Eligibility:
The successful candidate will be between 21 and 32 years of age, and at least enrolled in the final year of a recognized undergraduate program in Computer Science, Engineering or Digital Art.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Genuine innovative interest in Internet Design, Multimedia and interaction impact of modern technology on users
- Computer programming skills: JAVA, JQuery, AJAX, CSS, HTML and VBA
- Interest in engineering, design and digital art and a thorough understanding of information architecture
- Experience in developing internet applications using well-known SDKs preferred
- Appreciable communication, presentation and analytical skills
- Good command of English including technical writing
