Operating since July 2011, EFC TANZANIA M.F.C LIMITED provides financial services to micro, small and medium size enterprises (MSMEs) and is the first deposit taking microfinance institution to be licenced and regulated under the Bank of Tanzania’s Microfinance Company Charter.

The purpose of the Entrepreneurs Financial Centre (EFC) is to provide increased access to specialized financial services for entrepreneurs while contributing to wealth creation, improvement of living conditions and development of the Tanzanian private sector.  Owned by international and local investors, EFC Tanzania is distinctive in its emphasis on local development through a collective ownership scheme.

POSITIONS:
EFC Tanzania through its expansion program and in an effort to serve its client better, is looking to fill the following positions in Dar es Salaam:

BRANCH OPERATIONS MANAGER (1) POST

Qualification & Requirements (i.e. education, skills and experience)
The Branch Operations Manager should absolutely have good practical knowledge of branch operations in the financial services sector and the foresight to see how the related intricate day-to-day activities link with and support the achievement of the mission and vision of the EFC.  In this regard, specific qualifications and requirements include:

Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) preferred;
At least strong three to five years of experience operating in a financial institution;
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Kiswahili;
Excellent problem solving skills;
Background in staff management including leadership, skills development and coaching;
Strong analytical, written/verbal communication (English and Kiswahili), interpersonal, and relationship building skills;
Conflict management and negotiation skills;
Effective team player;
Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Power Point, Spreadsheet, etc.).


BRANCH MANAGER (1) POST

Qualification & Requirements (i.e. education, skills and experience)
The Branch Manager should have good practical knowledge of branch operations and human resource management in the financial services sector and the foresight to see how the intricate day-to-day activities link with and support the achievement of the mission and vision of the EFC.  In this regard, specific qualifications and requirements include:

A degree in Business Management, Economics, Finance or equivalent qualification;
At least two years of relevant experience, preferably in the financial services sector;
Knowledge of microfinance specific to MSE markets would be a definite asset;
Background in staff management including leadership, skills development and coaching;
Strong people/relationship skills;
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Kiswahili.

COMPLIANCE MANAGER (1) POST
Qualification & Requirements (i.e. education, skills and experience)
The Compliance Manager should have good practical knowledge of microfinance best practices and Central Bank regulations and laws together with the foresight to see how the intricate day-to-day compliance activities link with and support the achievement of the mission and vision of the EFC.  In this regard, specific qualifications and requirements include:

At least a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in finance, accounting, economics, law, business or equivalent qualification;
At least three to five years of relevant experience in a financial institution;
Good documentation and presentation skills;
Attention to detail and accuracy;
Ability to meet deadlines for numerous compliance report requirements;
Ability to relate effectively across different levels of authority;
Researches, implements, and manages the areas of financial institutions regulations and laws, policies and procedures;
Advise, oversee, and train the institutions staff on compliance procedures;
Strong analytical, written/verbal communication (English and Kiswahili), interpersonal, and relationship building skills;
Background in staff management including leadership, skills development and coaching;
Effective team player;
Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Power Point, Spreadsheet, etc.).


COMPLIANCE OFFICER (1) POST
Qualification & Requirements (i.e. education, skills and experience)

HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (1) POST
Qualification & Requirements (i.e. education, skills and experience)
The HR Assistant should absolutely have good practical knowledge of HRM in the financial services sector and the foresight to see how the intricate day-to-day HR related activities link with and support the achievement of the mission and vision of the EFC. In this regard, specific qualifications and requirements include:
A minimum of a Bachelor Degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent qualification;
At least two years of experience in human resources management;
A practical knowledge in recruitment process;
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English;
Knowledge of Tanzania Labour Laws;
Attention to detail and accuracy;
Effective team player;
Excellent problem solving skills;
Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Power Point, Spread sheet, etc.).

CUSTOMER CARE OFFICER (1) POST
Qualification & Requirements (i.e. education, skills and experience)
The Customer Care Officer should have good practical knowledge of and experience in the principles of customer care and customer protection combined with direct marketing experience and the foresight to see how the intricate day-to-day activities link with and support the achievement of the mission and vision of the EFC.  In this regard, specific qualifications and requirements include:

A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree with major in marketing, communications, public relations or equivalent qualification;
At least two to three years of experience in a financial institution, ideally in a microfinance institution in customer care, marketing and/or communications;
Strong analytical, written/verbal communication (English and Kiswahili), interpersonal, and relationship building skills;
Outgoing and engaging personality with a compelling customer care orientation;
Attention to detail and accuracy;
Effective team player and ability to lead, coach and develop capacities of employees;
Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Power Point, Spread sheet, etc.).
