PREAMBLE
The energy sector has the potential to substantially contribute to wealth creation, both as a source of incomes and jobs as well s a growth driver for other sectors. The renewable energy sub-sector is both more widely accessible and environmentally friendly Successful renewable energy companies therefore contribute to both economic and social goals. Opportunities in renewable energy Small and Medium Enterprises include production and marketing of solar, mini-hydro, wind, geothermal, ocean and biomass energy; marketing and installation renewable energy equipment and products, etc. Nurturing renewable energy startups and nascent firms through empowering their founders with the skills, experience and connections needed to successfully navigate through the challenges in the business environment is one way of contributing to rapid development of the sun
Activities of the Incubator include (i) assisting people with business ideas to develop them into business plans and to launch the businesses and (ii) supporting existing small renewable energy enterprises to improve their business models, increase efficiency and scale up their operations. The services include coaching and mentoring, short term training to develop life and business skills, networking, linking entrepreneurs with various resources, and work space.

A renewable energy incubator has been established at the Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship Development (IMED) Foundation to support development of local renewable energy enterprises. The incubator is funded by NORAD on a project basis and implemented jointly by IMED Foundation and Norwegian Society for International Development (Norges Vel).lt will, initially serve entrepreneurs based in Dar es Salaam, Coast and Morogoro Regions with the main office being in Dar es Salaam.

CALL FOR INCUBATOR MANAGER
The Renewable Energy Incubator is currently recruiting an Incubator Manager.
Purpose, Duties And Responsibilities
The Incubator Manager will be responsible for overall management of operations of the incubator and provide direct business assistance to clients. He1she will provide the daily energy and hands on management that is catalytic to the incubator's mission. He/she will be well connected to professional and technical knowledge networks in the community and would serve as a conduit to a resource network of service providers that provide expert assistance to incubator clients.

QUALIFICATIONS
A degree in business, economics or technology or other related fields and demonstrated expertise and experience in support start-ups. The successful applicant should have basic business incubation, project management, finance and marketing knowledge and skills and should be entrepreneurial. A technology background, masters degree and experience operating own business will be added advantages.
