Professor of International Economics

The department of International Business Management of the Haute Ecole de Gestion de Genève (HES-SO//University of Applied Sciences, Western Switzerland) is recruiting:

A UAS Professor in International Economics

Activity Rate : 100%

Missions

• Teaching in the fields of economics, international trade, economics of competition and/or international relations in our Bachelor and Master programs, as well as in continuing education programs
• Develop consulting mandates with industry partners
• Develop and conduct applied research projects. Obtain funding from third parties
• Research outreach in the form of mainstream publications, conferences and scientific articles
• Management and organization activities within the school
• Supervision of Bachelor and Master theses

Profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and Master’s degree related to the field of international economics. A PhD is an asset
• Proven track record of securing funding for applied research, conducting research projects, and managing a research team
• Strong teaching experience at the Bachelor and Master levels necessary
• Proven track record of obtaining consulting mandates
• Professional experience of at least 3 to 5 years in international economics; a good knowledge of Swiss economic companies is required
• Ability to outreach research activities, with scientific or mainstream publications, and conferences
• Ability to operate in a complex changing environment
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English and French (the main teaching language is English)
• Ability to work in a team
