KPMG's Human Resources unit is an internal Business Support Service whose priority is to support the firm achieves its strategic priority of attracting, developing, engaging and retaining high performing individuals (both current and future talent needs).
To support the firm's continued growth, KPMG Rwanda is looking to recruit a HR Associate. The Associate will undergo one year training before they can take up additional HR responsibilities.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Reporting to the HR Business Advisor, the Associate will:
- Assist in Identifying talent to meet Talent present &future staffing needs for KPMG Rwanda;
- Facilitate effective and timely performance management reviews through the designated framework and also assist in training new staff on the system;
- Coordinate the L&D needs for the different departments and ensure compliance with CPD requirements;
- Facilitate maintenance of the KPMG HRIS systems;
- Cultivate a close working relationship with the Business Units to understand their motivational needs and maintain high employee engagement. This includes formal and informal feedback mechanisms;
- Ensure staff integration through employee engagement initiatives such as regular staff meetings, team building events;
- Support HR Administration which includes exits, medical, pension, leave and records management;
- Facilitate the Mentoring programme;
- Generate proposals on ways to improve the work, procedures/workflow within HR and within the firm as whole; and
- Effectively contribute to the HR team in ensuring HR as a whole meets business needs within and outside the firm.
Qualification and Experience:
- Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or Business;
- Post-graduate qualification in HR Management; and
- Have at least 3-4 years working experience in a busy Human Resources office.
