KCB Burundi is looking for self-motivated, qualified individuals with the right attitude and a passion for the customer to join our team in the following position:

The Position
Reporting to the Managing Director KCB Burundi, the job holder will be responsible for the overall leadership and management of the line of business defined as Corporate Banking to achieve business growth, excellent customer service, inculcate a sales culture, and ensure operational compliance, staff performance and development.
Key Responsibilities
The major responsibilities of this position will be:-
• Develop, grow and monitor corporate liability and assets portfolios with the ultimate aim of ensuring that the Bank remains profitable, competitive and promptly reacts to the changes in both the internal and external environment.
• Grow the customer base and ensure retention of existing customers through high level customer satisfaction and new product launches.
• Contribute to and take a proactive role in policy and the strategic direction of the Bank.
This will include ensuring that the Bank’s objectives as related to Corporate Banking in particular and the Bank in general are met.
• Overall management of the Corporate network   to ensure superior service offering to customers,  reduction  of  operating  costs  by  ensuring  efficient  utilization  of  Bank’s resources and reduction of frauds and losses through adherence to policies and procedures.
• Monitor and manage customer complaints, constantly review service delivery standards and position staff in a way, which ensures maintenance of the highest service standards.
• Forecast, plan, implement and monitor achievement of sales targets.
• Ensure the control environment is robust with an enterprise risk management framework in place.
• Organize  and  manage  the  available  human  and  physical  resources  within  the corporate  function  through  training  and  proper  positioning  to  optimize  usage  of available resources.
• Product Development of Bank Products to suit the various customer segments within the Corporate Business
• Motivate, coach, mentor and develop a high performing team.
The Person
For the above position, the successful applicant should have:-
• University Degree from a recognized institution. Possession of a postgraduate degree or professional qualification in a related field will be an added advantage.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Relationship Management and at least 3 years’ experience in credit and a proven record of successfully managing and growing a portfolio of corporate banking clients.
• Extensive and thorough knowledge of the financial services dynamics as well as specific knowledge of banking products and services.
• Complete  knowledge  and  clear  understanding  of  the  bank's  credit  processes  and operating systems;
• Sound knowledge of the business environment and operating dynamics of Burundi and the entire East African region.
• Strong  leadership  and  interpersonal  skills  to  manage  strategy,  change,  diversity, financial performance, productivity, championing customer focus, and in managing people in a multi-cultural environment.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to network and develop strong internal and external business relationships.
• Ability to be innovative in identifying and harnessing new and existing opportunities to maximize business results while being highly action oriented;
• A high level of business acumen and ability to display orientation to market dynamics and profit orientation;
• A proven track record in delivering results;
• Possess good risk and financial analysis skills
