CREDIT OFFICER

The UTT Microfinance Plc now invites qualified, competent and energetic Tanzanians with outstanding work ethics and integrity to apply for the following vacant positions:

2.1 Reports to: Operations Manager - UTI Microfinance Plc
2.2 Job Summary:
Ensure error free issuance of loans to members in line with the approved UTI MFI credit operations policies, and procedures. Meeting with members, evaluating them, advising them transparently about the details of UTI-MH products and services, recruit clients, finalize loan applications and supervising loan collections and loan recoveries.
2.3 Key duties and responsibilities:
i. Meet with members/loan applicants, receive loan applications and respond to inquiries in respect to product features, loan eligibility, and application processes;
ii. Prepare loan application and submit it to the Branch Loan Management Committee for further action;
iii. Perform loan orientation to members and sell the existing products and services to prospective members;
iv. Compiles business information, analyze and provide recommendations; this includes applicants' financial status, credit, and property evaluation to determine feasibility for granting loans; Explain to prospective members and the general public the various types 01 products, services and credit options that are available,
as well as the applicable terms and conditions; Monitors issuance of loans and ensure fully recovery; Review and update credit and loan collection book; Review loan agreements to ensure that they are com plete and accurate according to applicable policies; Handle members complaints and take appropriate ac tion to resolve them timely;
In conjunction with senior managers; recommend for review and updates of products and services, credit policies, procedures and standards;
Provide loan and saving development training to the UTI MFI members
Encourage each group to establish the yearly goal and ways to achieve them;
Performs any other duties as would be assigned b supervisor/senior officers from time to time.
2.4 Qualifications & Experience:
Qualifications: The holder of this position must have (least, a first degree or its equivalent in any of the for lowing fields; community development, Agro business Agriculture, Accountancy or Business Administration.
* Experience: At least 3 years of practical work experience. Experience in reputable Microfinance or Banking Institutions will be an added advantage.
