Geneva Call has a vacancy for an intern on a full-time or part-time basis to assist the Africa Department, starting by arrangement. Please note that this is a volunteer position with no remuneration.
Internship description (main activities):
- Conduct secondary source research and prepare in-country situation and assessment reports on target countries on a regular basis
- Assist in preparing for field missions and other activities undertaken by the Department
- Assist in programme-related tasks, i.e. helping to prepare proposals, budgets, etc.
- Provide administrative support (filing, helping to prepare for trips, etc)
- Attendance and/or support at events relevant to the department

Requirements
Candidates should have a background in international relations or a related field. An interest in Africa preferred. Candidates should be fluent in English and French. Candidates should ideally have advanced writing, analytical and communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills. Candidates having already completed their first degree preferred. Candidates must be able to commit for a minimum of three months, either part-time or full-time, though preference will be given to those that are able to commit to a longer period.
