We are looking for Chief Technical Advisors and other international result-oriented experienced forestry, rural development and social experts to East-African countries (both long-term and short-term)

Requirements of the experts:
• Master’s degree in Economics, Business, Forestry, Social or in other relevant field
• 15 years of relevant working experience
• Experience in project cycle management in forestry or rural development in donor supported projects and design, development and operationalization of monitoring and evaluation systems
• Capability to lead and coach large teams with international and national/regional members
• Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in working in management or/and leading of teams of international development-co-operation projects, primarily in Africa
• Experience in programme implementation to ensure opportunities for participation by community members of diverse capacities including marginalized groups
• Willingness to flexibly co-operate with donor organizations and local counterparts
• Knowledge of the policies and procedures of international donors including the development of their financial procedures
• Experience in working with public sector counterparts, small-scale rural producers and private sector
• Experience in local capacity building
• Strong interpersonal skills and sensitivity to cultural differences
• Fluency in English, other languages are an asset
