About CDEA
CDEA is a Creative Think Tank based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania dedicated to providing services to artists, cultural leaders, creative entrepreneurs, cultural officers and urban planners, development and corporate organizations, civil society organizations and academics, government and intergovernmental bodies in innovation, research and development, artists and cultural development, tourism and development planning & implementation in Tanzania, and wider East African Region.
CDEA was registered as a company limited by guarantee under the Companies ACT 2002 of the United Republic of Tanzania and issued a Certificate of Incorporation no. 86597, on October 19, 2011. It was also issued with a Certificate of Compliance no. 1445 under the NGO ACT of 2002, on January 30, 2012 of the United Republic of Tanzania.
Our niche is to design and develop evidence-based programmes that place culture at the centre of development in East Africa.

The position
With the opportunity to develop your career in a company that supports and encourages innovation in the culture and creative industries sector, this is an exciting time for a sponsorship sales executive to become part of the team. You are able to work independently and will be remunerated of commission basis.
The Role
The sponsorship sales executive will focus on selling sponsorship packages for a key event to be held on early August. Key responsibilities include:
*Spending effective time on the phone to develop successful sales relationships with leading organizations and partners
*Meeting and exceeding targets and delivering revenue from new accounts.
*Contributing to the CDEA’s revenue targets and delivery of business objectives
*Learning and understanding the environment in which CDEA’s stakeholders operate.
Your Profile
The successful sponsorship sales executive will demonstrate:
*A successful sponsorship sales background in either conferences or entertainment events
*A high level of motivation and a proven track record of achieving targets
*Strong communication skills
*An ability to understand and learn about the culture and creative industries sector
There is an opportunity for this position to develop into a long-term of Sales and Business Development Manager.
