Project Manager for Hospital Management System Implementation

Main Purpose of Job:

• Manage and lead the HMS (Hospital Management System) project, including budget, timeline and resources

Key Accountabilities (Responsibilities):

• Create and manage to the overall project plans and time lines
• Lead CCBRT through vendor evaluation, selection and contracting
• Manage and oversee the implementation of chosen product, including the design, testing and training phases, as well as post implementation
• Report to Steering Committee, Stakeholders and Senior Management team on project status regularly
• Manage three Project Analysts, who will work with staff in all aspects of the project
• Any other duties as assigned

Qualification:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science or other relevant combination of training and experience
• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification desired

Knowledge / Experience:

• 7+ years of project management experience, including projects involving application implementations and process re-engineering
• Must have led one or more implementations of database applications in environments with non-technical business users
• 3+ years of experience in hospitals operations and/or healthcare IT experience
• 5+ years of experience managing staff
• Extensive experience working with HMS systems or ERP solutions desirable

Skills:

• Experience in leading meetings with leadership down to staff level
• Strong understanding of hospital processes are desired, but not required
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal (in English)
• Strong organization skills
• Must be experienced in computers, including ERP solutions, as well as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access)
• Must be able to manage work of others
• Experience with SQL, Oracle or other relational databases is preferred
