Marie Stopes Tanzania (MST) is a marketing-focused, results-oriented social enterprise, which uses modern management and marketing techniques to provide family planning, reproductive and sexual healthcare and allied services. MST is a member of the Marie Stopes International (MSI) Global Partnership, which operates in over 46 countries worldwide. MST’s goal is to improve quality of life in Tanzania by dramatically improving access to and use of family planning and other reproductive health services.
We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our highly motivated team in the following role;
ACCOUNTANT
The Accountant will support the Deputy Director of Finance in performance of accounting and financial management support to the organisation, ensuring that appropriate systems, procedures and controls are in place and duly followed to support the continued growth of the organisation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Checking of supporting documentation, reconciling receipt information, reviewing for policy compliance, posting data, and issuing statements to staff of staff debtor balances every month.
• Performs internal audit sort-of reviews of the centres and outreach teams, documenting his/her work and supporting the visited teams to ensure full compliance with organizational policies and best practice
• Performs month end procedures to ensure a smooth period end closure.
• Maintains supporting work papers for general ledger for accrued expenses at year-end.
• Prepares, maintains, and/or revises customized templates/reports and/or spread sheets relating to project overhead contributions, al ledger transactions, purchase order status tracking, prepayment amortisation and leases.
• Provides direction, work coordination, and training to other Accounting Technicians, assisting with more difficult and complex problems as needed
QUALIFICATION
A professional qualified (or in final stages of study) accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA).
A Bachelor of Accountancy degree or equivalent
At least 3 years’ progressive experience with similar responsibilities, with ideally both NGO and private sector exposure.
Experience of financial management requirements of ONE of the following: USAID, DFID and European Commission will be an added advantage
Experience of working in a busy, high pressure finance department with multiple, competing deadlines
CLINICAL QUALITY COODINATOR
The clinical quality coordinator is a member of the Medical Development Team and is responsible with other team member for ensuring and maintaining quality and clinical excellence thought MST health service system .
Responsibilities
• .Assist the head of Clinical services in developing annual clinical training plan for clinical supportive staff line with organizational plan.
• Assist Head of clinical service in assessing training needs and organize or /and clinical trainings to the service providers in areas of organizational core business and /or other clinical services as need may be at the canters and outreach sites.
• Assisst the Head of clinical service in check quality of medical equipment and supplies and give recommendations for their use.
• To assist in overseeing adherence to MOH guidelines and standards at all service delivery points.
Qualifications
Minimum of University degree/Advanced Diploma in Clinical health Medicine
MPH is an advantage.
Knowledge of Clinical Health, Sexual and reproductive Health in Health facility and outreach services is required
EXTERNAL RELATION
Responsible for the implementation of the Marie Stopes Tanzania Strategy (Power of 10), policy development and advocacy initiatives in collaboration with relevant partners ensuring the highest attainable impact of MST work in Tanzania, ensuring women can access high quality reproductive health services.
Responsibility:
• Monitoring of progress in achieving the P10 objectives
• Review of P10
• Ensuring the power of 10 is mainstreamed through-out MST, at all levels
• In close collaboration with the Director of Human Resources build internal capacity to achieve P10
• In close collaboration with the Finance Director, develop the annual Business Plan to implement P10
• Monitor and report on the implementation of the annual BP
• Strengthen the internal collaboration across the organization and further develop the MST head office to make the organization work effectively across the commercial and social business.
QUALIFICATION
Mature manager at senior level. Accustomed to working in a multicultural environment and able to comfortably work in different settings and at all levels. Confident in managing conflict and sensitive issue. Solid understanding of budgetary procedures and financial management. Strong motivation and communication skills and a participatory, inclusive management style are 0important to MST and we emphasize a working culture based on mutual respect, accountability and transparency.
