The Government of Rwanda has started the Second Emergency Demobilisation
and Reintegration Project (SEDRP) implemented by Rwanda Demobilisation
and Reintegration Commission (RDRC). The overarching Goal of the SEDRP
is to contribute to consolidation of Peace in the Great Lakes Region,
particularly in Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo and to foster
National Unity within Rwanda. This is done through Demobilisation and
support to social and economic reintegration of ex-combatants, including
specialized support to Disabled, female and Child ex-Combatants.
It is in this regard that the RDRC seeks suitably qualified candidates to fill the following vacant positions:
1. Chief Finance Officer (CFO)
• Be a holder of a Bachelors degree in accounting, finance. A masters degree will be an added advantage.
• Be a holder or part holder of a professional accounting qualification e.g. CPA, ACCA, CIMA with intentions to complete the same will be also an added advantage.
• At least 5 years of experience in project financial and/or administrative management.
• Proven experience in dealing with World Bank financial procedures.
• Computer proficiency with knowledge of SAGE PASTEL and GOR Smart IFMS as an added advantage.
• Fluency in English and a working knowledge of French.
2. Repatriation Officer (Rubavu and Rusizi)
• At least a diploma with experience in Administration.
• To be an Ex-Combatant would be an added advantage.
3. Assistant Centre Manager (Mutobo DC)
• At least having completed high school with proven understanding of conflict in the Great lakes.
• Fluent in Kinyarwanda.
• Good communication skills.
• To be an Ex-combatant would be an added advantage.
4. Child Protection Officer
• A university degree in Social Work and Social Administration, Sociology, or Education plus 5 years of relevant professional experience. Proven track record in Child counseling and development is required, Excellent knowledge of children’s rights is a must. Previous working experience with children under special circumstances will be a strong asset.
• Language proficiency.
• Proficiency in written and oral Kinyarwanda and English or French. A working knowledge of the other foreign language would be an added advantage.
5. Monitoring and evaluation Officer (MEO)
• Advanced university degree in social sciences, demography, development planning, or statistics.
• Proven excellent analytical and writing skills.
• At least three years of progressively responsible professional work experience in programme monitoring and evaluation. Practical experience in statistics methods and data management.
• A first degree with five years of relevant experience would also be considered.
6. Management Information Systems Officer (MISO)
• Diploma in Computer/Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and having experience in MIS especially of projects. Practical experience in computer mapping would be an added advantage.
7. Administrative Assistant: Office of the Coordinator
• Trained as a Secretary and having communications skills, computer literate, and having worked as a Secretary in a reputable institution for not less than 3 years. Preferable qualifications are of A1 or equivalent Fluency in English or French and a working knowledge of the other is an advantage.
8. Logistics Assistant to the Muhoza CRC
• Bachelors degree in Management or its equivalent;
• personal integrity and able to travel;
• 3 years experience in logistics management for large groups of people;
9. Psychologist (Mutobo DC and Muhoza CRC)
• At least an advanced degree in social work. Psychiatry, public health, clinical psychology or related field;
• A minimum of 5 years experience in the field of Psycho-social research and/or social work practice and/or evaluation, with a focus on mental health service delivery in post-conflict environments;
• Prior experience in the management and/or evaluation or psycho-social interventions in Africa would be an advantage;
• Excellent writing and communication skills in English and or French, both being an advantage;
10. Welfare Officer (Mutobo DC)
• Nursing aid certificate with 5 years of experience;
• To be an Ex-combatant would be an added advantage;
11. Assistant Accountant
• Diploma in Accounting and computer literate;
• Should be a person of integrity;
• Experience in development organizations’ disbursement procedures. Having worked in a Multilateral Donor institution’s project would be an advantage;
