Applications are invited for a full-time post as Principal Lector in Japanese. The successful candidate will lead and support a team of lectors and senior lectors in the development, teaching and assessment of a range of Japanese language courses. He or she will teach Japanese language to degree students at various levels, design and deliver course plans and materials, and engage in subject, professional and pedagogy research in support of teaching. The candidate will have responsibility for co-ordinating all the Japanese language courses and the year-abroad programme.
Candidates will be expected to possess a postgraduate qualification in a relevant field, as well as have native speaker-level competence in Japanese, a teaching qualification and extensive teaching experience.
