SOAS, University of London is fast approaching its centenary and is in preparation to embark on its first major fundraising campaign. It is an exciting time to join the Directorate of External Relations & Development and we currently have a vacancy for the role of Development Officer, Trusts and Foundations. The role sits within a small, dynamic team and will be instrumentally involved in the implementation of the upcoming campaign.
As a key member of the Development and Alumni Relations team, this role will be responsible for proactively generating income from trusts and foundations. Reporting to the Head of Development and Alumni Relations, the Development Officer, Trusts and Foundations, will play a key role in contributing to the delivery of SOAS' ambitious strategy and Centenary Campaign.
The successful candidate will lead on developing relationships and delivering major gifts from trusts and foundations, and on the development and implementation of operational plans to maximise income from these organisations.
The ideal candidate will have excellent writing, interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work well in an academic environment. They will have a strong track record of successful fundraising from trusts and foundations, and of developing and building on strong working relationships with organisational funders.
