Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) / Walter Reed Project, HIV Program Kericho carries out HIV/AIDS research and provide care and treatment to persons affected in the South Rift Valley region.
We are seeking to recruit a qualified person to fill the above vacant position.
Main Duties:
- Conduct HIV related research and manage clinical trial participants.
- Carry out educational programs on HIV/AIDS within the community.
- Assist in carrying out various protocol training activities.
- Maintain a safe working environment with appropriate training of other personnel.
- Ensure compliance with GCP and all applicable regulatory requirements.
- Submit reports as may be required.
- Represent KEMRI/WRP Kericho in scientific meetings.
- May be called upon to act as a principal investigator or co-investigator for KEMRI / USAMRU-K research protocols.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B; CH.B). Possession of MPH in addition to M.B; CH.B is an added advantage.
- Must be registered with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board.
- Previous experience in medical/clinical research and good knowledge of HIV / AIDS are added advantages.
