Purpose of the Position
Assist in the processing of UNICEF Payrolls with particular focus on Education Grant entitlement, review of the submitted financial and supporting documentation and respond to staff queries on the admissible expenses accepted and payments.

Key Expected Results
Receive and log all in-coming education grant applications (Claims and Advances) and keep track of status through processing stage.
Review education grant advances and settlements applications for eligibility and completeness of documentation; follow up, as necessary, with staff members, GSC and Field Offices on issues related to processing of Education Grant.
Review and respond to queries from staff on Education Grant issues and provide guidance as necessary.
In accordance with Education Grant policies, process Education Grant Claims and Advances in SAP-HR for approval by HR Officers.
Maintain database of all Education Grant applications and provide status reports on Education Grant processed, pending, etc.
Maintain up-to-date Education Grant files
Qualifications of Successful Candidate
- Secondary Education with college courses in Accounting, Finance and/or Human Resources management related areas.
- MUST PASS THE UN ASAT (Administrative Support Assessment Test) in ENGLISH (PLEASE MENTION IN YOUR COVER LETTER WHETHER YOU PASSED THIS EXAM)
- Five years of progressively responsible experience within the UN system in the field of finance, accounting, human resources, or in other related fields.
- Experience within the UN system in the field of education grants, human resources and calculations of benefits and entitlements is desirable.
- Knowledge of software applications such as database and spreadsheet packages is required. Knowledge of SAP, HRMS & FLS is an asset.
- Fluency in English is required. Working knowledge of French or Spanish is an asset.
