Purpose of the Position
Assist in the processing of UNICEF Payrolls and other entitlements.

Key Expected Results
Responsible for processing of rental advances and subsidy requests for assigned regions and maintain related recovery information.
Maintain, record and update payments for 3rd party vendors (Staff association, UNJSPf, garage administration, etc.).
Review outstanding staff separation cases for completeness of documents and follow up with UNICEF regional and country offices on outstanding issues related to separation of staff.
Review education grants advances and settlements requests for eligibility and completeness of documenLation, follow up, as necessary, with staff members and HR clusters on i.ssues related to processing of Education grants processing requests.
Review and prepare salary advances, AGLS payments, and other payments as necessary.
Maintain lists of voluntary deductions (staff association ... etc.), reconciliation of all accounts related to payroll and personal vendors.
Review and respond to queries from staff and vendors and on issues related to areas of responsibilities.
Maintain liaison with the UN Insurance and Tax Units on issues related to UNICEF staff enrolment in insurance plans and tax advances/statements).
Qualifications of Successful Candidate
- Secondary Education with college courses in Accounting, Finance and/or Human Resources management related areas.
- MUST PASS THE UN ASAT (Administrative Support Assessment Test) in ENGLISH (PLEASE MENTION IN YOUR COVER LETTER WHETHER YOU PASSED THIS EXAM)
- Six years of progressively responsible experience within the UN system in the field of finance, accounting, human resources, or in other related fields.
- Experience within the UN system in the field of education grants, human resources and calculations of benefits and entitlements is desirable.
- Knowledge of software applications such as database and spreadsheet packages is required. Knowledge of SAP, HRMS & FLS is an asset.
- Fluency in English is required. Working knowledge of French or Spanish is an asset.
