Location: Addis Ababa | Duration of the Assignment: 6 Months |
Job Purpose: The primary objective Consultant is to submit to the Head of Division Plans, strategies and programs for the development of the Telecommunications sector. | |
Key Duties and Responsibilities 1) To contribute to the elaboration and formulation of policies and regulations, master plan, action plans for the development of programs and projects relating to telecommunications and Broadcasting technologies 2) To facilitate implementation, monitoring, supervision and evaluation of projects and programs in telecommunications and Broadcasting Technologies 3) To prepare and coordinate studies and research in related fields of work of the Division of Information Society 4) To organize and service workshops, seminars and meetings 5) To conduct the work of the specialized technical committee and sub-committees on telecommunications and Broadcasting Technologies 6) To collect data and specific information related to Telecommunications and Broadcasting technologies. 7) To prepare and submit periodic reports on activities and specific missions 8) To perform any other duty as may be assigned

Educational requirements | |
A Master Degree in Telecommunication ICT engineering from a university or institution of higher learning would be an advantage | |
Related Job Experience: Ten years of work experience in the area of Telecommunications/ICT and with sound knowledge in the following issues:

AGE REQUIREMENT: Candidates must preferably be between 30 and 45 years old.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENT :
Proficiency in at least one of the African Union working languages (Arabic, English, French and Portuguese). Knowledge of other working languages would be an added advantage

REMUNERATION:
The salary attached to the position is an annual lump-sum of US$ 79,903.40 inclusive of all allowances for internationally recruited staff.
The salary attached to the position is an annual lump-sum of US$ 68,299.81 inclusive of all allowances for locally recruited staff.
