POSITION SUMMARY
The successful candidate will be an important member of the BlackBerry Security Group. Reporting to the Security Product Management Team, the successful candidate will help champion the development of NFC technologies on BlackBerry devices. The Product Manager will help identify the key NFC functionality that needs to be present in future BlackBerry products and help bring them to market. The successful candidate will interact daily with engineering and technology groups. The candidate will also champion NFC products and features of BlackBerry through customer interactions and presentations in various forums. The Product Manager will become a SME (Subject Matter Expert) in these areas for the larger BlackBerry Security Group and Product Management group. In addition, the Product Manager will provide support as needed in channel development and marketing activities.
Qualifications
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- University or College degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience working with business units to define requirements for software products
- Experience in the NFC industry
- Experience in product management for the hi-tech industry
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment both in teams and on own
- Achievement-oriented and self-motivated
- Ability to explain technology at various levels of detail
- Well-developed written skills
ADDITIONAL ASSETS
- Familiarity with the BlackBerry solution
- Familiarity with NFC TSM ecosystem
