American Refugee Committee International (ARC) informs the public of an opening for the following positions for Gihembe and Nyabiheke Refugee Camps:
3. GBV RESPONSE ASSISTANT - Reports to GBV RESPONSE OFFICER
Required Qualifications
- University Degree/ in Social Sciences, Social Works, Psychology, Public/Community Health or a Degree in any other related but relevant field. Candidates possessing a diploma but with a strong experience in GBV programs may also apply; in GBV case management, preferably between 1-2 years of providing direct response services to GBV survivors is a strong requirement for this position;
- Candidate must demonstrate a strong understanding of Multi-Sectoral approaches to GBV programming and should be well versed with current GBV programming models and approaches in humanitarian settings;
- A strong command of both written and spoken English and French; a working knowledge of Kinyarwanda and/or Kiswahili is required;
- Previous experience directly providing services to GBV survivors is strongly required;
- Prior experience working with refugees/IDP and other vulnerable individuals (children, women) preferred.
