Internship, Ethics Office, Rome, Italy

The World Food Programme is the world's largest humanitarian agency, fighting hunger worldwide. We are currently seeking to fill an internship position with the WFP Ethics Office. The position will be based at WFP Headquarters in Rome, Italy. The Internship will be for an initial period of 4 months starting from September 2015.

Description

The selected candidate will be supporting the Ethics Office in various projects including an end of the year auction and testing a new database.

The candidate will

• Review and apply understandings of existing policies, processes and data;
• Conduct internal and external research and interact with internal experts;
• Compile and synthetize information, ensuring quality outputs;
• Assist in the preparation of relevant communications materials; and
• Provide assistance on other projects in the Ethics Office, as assigned.

Essential Requirements

• Currently enrolled or have recently graduated from a University degree in Law, Communications, Public Administration, Ethics, Compliance, International Affairs or related field;
• Have completed at least two years of undergraduate study;
• Have attended courses in the last 12 months;
• Fluent in English. A second UN language would be an asset;
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point);
• Strong writing skills in English;
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality; and
• Knowledge/Experience working with databases and Project skills.

Terms and Conditions

• Interns receive a monthly stipend from WFP up to the amount of US$700 per month.
• WFP is not responsible for living expenses, arrangements for accommodation, travel to and from WFP internship location, necessary visas and costs related.
