QUANTITY SURVEYOR -1 POST
Reports to : PRINCIPAL ESTATE DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER

POSITION OBJECTIVE:'

Responsible for taking off quantities from approved architectural, structural and service drawings to enable compilation of bills of quantities.
Preparation of bidding documents for both civil and building works to ensure cost control
. from inception up to the production of detailed drawings, estimating & price
analysis of building and civil works and valuation of payments certificates.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
To analyze the structural and architectural drawings if they conform
to specifications and cost consequences during the Sketch Design Stage.
To prepare detailed specifications for new projects, renovations, rehabilitation and maintenance works.
To study and check drawings designed by Architect and Structural
Engineer if there is any over design or under design during preparation of Bidding Document and Bills of Quantities.
To administer and supervise the contract execution and solve any disputes arising during the' execution, evaluation of tenders, participate in tender negotiation and award of contracts.
To evaluate interim and final certificates for payment of contractors.
Preparation of Taking and Handing Over formalities.
To carry out elemental cost analysis before the commencement of any project.
To update the unit rates used in construction works.
Assessment of buildings, roads and other civil works to ascertain actual situation in order to come up with appropriate remedial measures.
Performing any other duties related to the Company's activities' which may be assigned at any time.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
A good degree in Building, economics or equivalent
At least one year working experience in Quantity surveying role
Computer skills.
