Job Title: Mobile Money Manager

Objectives:
This job seeks to ensure TTCL become a profitable company by effective and efficient market penetration, branding and cost effective budget for mobile money operations as an integral part of the overall business plan, monitoring the achievement of the plan in product development, sales and vendor management. Also to ensure compliance to anti-money laundering (AML) guidelines and oversee financial reconciliation/settlement/reporting and blacklisting/investigation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. In collaboration with other TTCL Team Members to ensure the requirements of mobile money are customer and market driven, and are aligned to overall corporate objectives.
2. Provide leadership to the development and review of existing and new product opportunities to deliver value to key customer segments in the market.
3. Provide leadership to the definition and monitoring operations KPIs for finance, contact centre and trouble ticketing.
4. Manage and control platform access for partners, agents and customer facing equipment.
5. Provide leadership to the section on long and short term strategies, plans, policies and procedures for TTCL Mobile Money operations.
6. To ensure all accounting activities collections, payments, reconciliation, settlements and receivables are processed and comply to TTCL financial guidelines.
7. To support the AML/CFT team including KYC reporting, compliance tracking and investigation.
8. Monitor and evaluate market activities and competitiveness in liaison with other similar business, and inform senior management with recommendation for necessary action.
9. Compile and analyze Reports on quality of service and partner/outsourced performance in a timely manner as part of management information.
10. Provide input as required to TTCL’s corporate planning processes and develop sectional objectives and functional plans that support the achievement of TTCL’s corporate objectives and the TTCL Strategic Business Plan.
11. Accountable for the development of employees in the section and ensure the section has the skills, competencies and resources necessary to accomplish sectional performance objectives
12. Accountable for performance management of employees in the section including setting objectives, providing regular performance feedback and coaching and mentoring to improve performance and maximize employee’s job satisfaction.
13. Accountable for developing the section’s budget within the framework of the corporate budget and monitoring and controlling sectional expenditures to meet the budget and maximize the effective use of TTCL’s financial resources.
14. Implements and exercises delegated authority and any other instructions and directives as may be issued by the management from time to time.
Key Qualifications / Experience / Skills:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent Business discipline. PGD/MBA qualifications in the related qualifications would be an added advantage
• Minimum 5 years of working experience with at least 2 of which should be a manager in a mobile money related environment.
• Proven record in leading and sustaining successful strategic business development.
• Excellent knowledge of the Tanzania market together with a sound knowledge of mobile money business trends.
• Proven innovation in the development and implementation of marketing strategies.
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills with excellent communications, negotiations, report writing, presentations and problem solving skills
• High degree of integrity, honest with ethical values and self confidence with ability to work independent, organize and lead a team and make decision.
