The US Embassy is seeking an individual for the position of Assistant Computer Systems Manager at the United States Agency for
International Development. This is a full-time Personal Services Contract position.
BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION '
The USAID Tanzania Assistant Computer Systems, Manager (ACSM) is responsible for network management and operations: includes performing network troubleshooting, network repairs, server configuration, tuning and server hardware and software upgrading, performing special analysis and design techniques in order to provide consultation and coordination services to about 70 LANIWAN users regarding the LAN operating systems, e-mails, internets, passwords, access rights, printer services, adding new users, file archiving and analysis of malfunctions and problems. VSAT and wireless link: 'includes upgrading Cisco router configurations, troubleshooting malfunctions, and managing ASIST (Agency Secure Image and storage Tracking system) - Oracle based computer systems. The ACSM is to ensure an office automation program systems runs ,effectively, ensure the security of the system is invulnerable, update mission website, involved in the planning administration and coordination training, perform and modify software programs as required by users and perform programming tasks as needed by Mission staff.
