This position is located in the Office of the Director of the Outreach Division in the Department of Public Information (DPI). The incumbent reports to the Deputy Director for Partnerships and Public Engagement, who also serves as the Secretary of the Committee on Information.
Education
Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in communication, journalism, international relations, public administration or related field is required.A first-level university degree in combination with additional two years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
Work Experience
A minimum of seven years of progressively responsible professional experience in public information, journalism, international relations, public administration or related area is required. Experience in working with inter-governmental procedures and academic institutions is desirable.
Languages
Fluency in English, (both oral and written) is required; knowledge of French is desirable. Knowledge of another UN official language is an advantage.
