HYDROPOWER PROJECTS AND HIGH VOLTAGE TRANSMISSION LINE PROJECTS IN THE EAST AFRICAN REGION
1. Project Manager (1 Position)
Qualifications and Experience Requirements
- A Master's degree in engineering with a minimum of 15 years of international hydropower development including substantial experience in managing actual implementation of hydropower projects on the site and in office as well as contract supervision
- With relevant experience as a Project Manager at senior level in the implementation of at least 3 hydropower projects of at least 50MW including tunneling.
2. Civil / Structural Engineers (8 Positions)
Qualifications and Experience Requirements
- Senior Civil/structural engineers with a master's degree in civil engineering and at least 15 years' experience in design and construction supervision of civil engineering projects, with experience on at least 2 hydropower projects.
- Civil/structural engineers with a minimum of a master's in churl engineering and at least 8 years' experience in design and construction supervision of civil engineering projects, with experience on at least 1 hydropower project
3. Hydraulic Engineer (1 Position)
Qualifications and Experience Requirements
- A master's level degree in hydraulic engineering or related field of specialization with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience designing hydraulic structure,
4. Hydrologist / Modeller (1 Position)
Qualifications and Experience Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering with a master's specializing in hydrology with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, with a minimum of 2 projects on modelling.
5. Materials Engineer (Roads & Highways) (1 Position)
Qualifications and Experience Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in civil engineering and master’s in materials engineering or materials technology with a minimum of 1 years of relevant experience on roads and highway projects.
6. Measurements Engineer (1 Position)
Minimum Qualifications and Experience Required
- A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with a master’s in highway engineering construction management with at least 8 years' experience as a roads / highway engineer.
7. Senior Electrical Engineers (Transmission Lin. & Sub-stations) (2 Positions)
Qualifications and Experience Requirements
- A minimum of a master’s degree in electrical engineering with at least 8 years' relevant experience in the construction and/or supervision of electrical works of between 132 and 720 kV.
8. Snr Electro-Mechanical Engineer (Hydropower Plant and Substations) (1 Position)
Qualifications and Experience Requirements
- A minimum of a masters degree in electrical or mechanical engineering and 5 years' relevant experience in darn construction and/or supervision of electromechanical works pertaining to poorer stations which entail but are not limited to the tarrying turbines, draft tubes, overhead travelling cranes, power station auxiliary equipment, control and instrumentation system.
9. Geo-technical Engineer (1 Position)
Qualifications and Experience Requirements
- Bachelors in civil engineering and a master's level degree in engineering geology on goo technical engineering with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with specific emphasis on dam design and supervision.
10. Geologist (1 Position)
Qualifications and Experience Requirements
- A master’s degree in geology with further specialization in engineering geology and at least 5 years experience in geological and geotechnical investigations of sites.
11. Highways & Roads Engineer (1 Position)
Minimum Qualifications and Experience Required
A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and a master’s in highway engineering with at least 7 years' experience in design and construction supervision of 2/3 paved and murram road projects.
12. Senior Valuation Surveyor (1 Position)
Qualifications and Experience Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in land economics, valuation survey or related field of study with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience carrying out assessments for resettlement action plans Registration is a prerequisite.
13. Construction Manager (1 Position)
Qualifications and Experience Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and a master's in construction management and / or with project management. Plus a minimum of 10 years experience in construction engineering with 5 years in project management
14. Senior Contracts Manager (1 Position)
Minimum Qualifications and Experience Required
- A master's degree in civil engineering with specialization in construction management or project management and at least 10 years experience in construction contract management Should have training in international construction contracts preferably FIDIC.
15. Highways & Roads Engineer (1 Position)
Minimum Qualifications and Experience Required
- A bachelor's degree in civil engineering and a master’s in highway engineering with at least 7 years experience in design and construction supervision of 2/3 paved and murram road projects.
16. Senior Valuation Surveyor (1 Position)
Qualifications and Experience Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in and economics, valuation survey or related field of study with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience carving out assessments for resettlement action plans. Professional registration is a prerequisite.
17. Senior Sociologist / Anthropologist (1 Position)
Qualifications and Experience Requirements
- A master’s lend degree in social sciences with a minimum of 10 years of relevant consulting experience in ESIA and RAP studies social sector projects in developing countries. Registration is a prerequisite.
18. Archaeologist (1 Position)
Qualifications and Experience Requirements
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree in archaeology or archaeological sciences with specialization in either conservation, environmental archaeology, human evolution or forensic investigation and at least years consulting experience on projects within tic Fast African region.
