POSITION:CARGO SALES & OPERATIONS MANAGER
REPORTS TO: COMMERCIAL DIRECTOR
DUTY STATION:DAR ES SALAAM
You will be reporting to Commercial Director
ROLE PURPOSE STATEMENT:
To sell Airline’s cargo products and network in order to achieve the set sales objectives and targets through designing, executing and driving innovative business ideas that will enhance revenue.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop and drive the Cargo Sales plan guaranteeing exposure of Airline’s product facilitating delivery of the company’s Sales targets and business objectives.
• To ensure safety & security of cargo operations is in compliance with relevant industry and legislative requirements
• Routine monitoring of safety and quality of critical activities within cargo operations
• To ensure conformity with all regulatory requirements, organization standards and local procedures
• Analysis of business environment to facilitate timely response to developing market trends to maximise on opportunities that arise and minimise adverse impact on company cargo sales.
• Monitor competitor activities, evaluate recommend competitive strategy and pricing levels to deliver expected yield, margin and revenue targets
• Liaise with Outsourced Company to build and maintain sales team representation and network to ensure sustenance of profitable cargo sales revenues and market share for Airline.
• To be a link between the Airline and the Outsourced Company
• Monitor the performance, and reporting of the outsourced Company in order to safeguard PW’s interest
• To communicate with finance department on any deposits and outstanding made by the outsourced company.
• To be the principal administrator for the Airline’s all cargo, mail & parcels related matters.
• Liaise with the relevant authorities, customer airlines and other operationally relevant external parties
• Provide input and participate in the identification and progress of new business opportunities for revenue
• Participate in PW’s cargo revenue budget process.
• Develop and monitor expenditure budget/actual and control costs.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE
• University Graduate or relevant professional qualification
• 3 years in Airline cargo logistics and distribution.
• Knowlegde in Dangerous Goods regulations
• Air cargo skills and management
• Proficient in spoken and written English
• Excellent computer data analysis and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical, visionary Planning and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of airline business processes is an added advantage.
