Catholic Relief Services is recruiting two senior Program Directors to lead the implementation of its new strategy. Each Program Director will lead the consolidation and growth of the specific program area, creating a unified vision among current project staff and organization leadership, identifying and instituting growth strategies, assuring high-quality staffing and staff support, and representing the program among internal and external stakeholders.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Technical Development and Quality: Lead staff to maintain and improve program quality, innovation and learning among the various projects, in line with best practices and quality standards.
Program Growth: Identify and pursue opportunities for program growth.
Representation: Represent CRS in national-level meetings, sharing forums and technical working groups.
Staff Management: Supervise, lead, mentor and coach program staff.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION
- Skills and experience in high-level advocacy, negotiation and coalition building with multiple stakeholders and proven fund raising experience
- Strong communication and networking skills
- Existing relationships within relevant Government of Tanzania Ministries.
- Demonstrated abilities in documentation of lessons learned, report-writing, M&E
- Excellent independent judgment and decision-making skills
- Fluency in Swahili and English
SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS WATER AND RESILIENCE PROGRAM DIRECTOR
- Master’s degree in a relevant field such as international development. engineering, natural resource management. and/or public health
- At least 8 years of experience working in the development sector, preferably in water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) or natural resource-management and risk reduction
- Demonstrated knowledge of the cross-sectoral application of WASHstrategies to improve health, livelihoods and nutrition
- Technical proficiency in water supply, sanitation, and hygiene program design and implementation, including developing hygiene promotion campaigns and materials and experience with participatory approaches.
