- the EIB's Global Loans (GLs) are fully allocated to creditworthy FBs
- the Fls have sustainable organizations capable to continue Micro and SME (M/SME) lending after project completion and are able to diversify their range of financial services and products to this market segments, and
- the FBs have the ability to present bankable projects to Fls.

Professional Background
- Excellent skills and experience in commercial Banking and Microfinance
- Vast knowledge of Credit Risk Management procedures
- Working knowledge in the field of Micro and SME finance involving direct interaction with MSMEs
- Experience in training and capacity building to Financial Institutions
Personal Profile
- University degree in a finance related field, professional microfinance qualifications will be an added advantage
- At least 10 years banking experience in the commercial banking sector
- Preferably work experience in the East African region
- Fluency of English and French would be an asset
- Willingness to travel and to adapt to new environments
