Silafrica Tanzania Quality Engineer

Position Description:
Job Purpose:
- The incumbent will supervise the implementation of policies and procedures for product quality controls to ensure that product quality parameters meet customer requirements

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct incoming raw material inspection to ensure that they are approved and coming from approved suppliers for manufacture of quality products
- Plan the implementation of production trials to ensure that they are conducted timely and communicate results timely
- Study the online Quality Inspection Reports and product quality tests results
- Maintain laboratory instruments and equipments in good working order and verify their correctness
- Follow up corrective and preventive actions taken on root cause of product nonconformities
- Compile shift quality records and prepare Daily, Weekly and Monthly reports and submit to the Quality Assurance Manager


Application Instructions:
Position Requirements;
- Degree or equivalent qualification in chemical and processing  engineering, industrial engineering and management
- 2 - 5 years experience in processing industry especially in food processing, ro plastic manufacturing.
Knowledge and Skills
- Computer literace
- Ability to address quality issues with systematic approach
- Good communication skills
