Transparency International (TI) is the global civil society organisation leading the fight against corruption. Through more than 90 chapters worldwide and an international secretariat in Berlin, Germany, TI raises awareness of the damaging effects of corruption and works with partners in government, business and civil society to develop and implement effective measures to tackle it.
Main function: The Audio-Visual Coordinator develops audio-visual products and plans to support and better communicate TI’s mission, Programmes, projects and advocacy positions. The Audio-Visual Coordinator targets a series of external and internal audiences and stakeholders and creates and refines tools and products to convey Transparency International’s messaging and position. Responsibilities: ´ • Coordinate and produce multimedia content, shooting and editing video and photo footage into cohesive and compelling products, from short clips and audio slide shows to longer web documentaries • Supervise the work of hired consultants and production companies to ensure audio-visual projects are delivered on time, to budget and expected quality • Coordinate audio-visual projects for the Secretariat, providing guidance that supports communications and advocacy goals • Support the development of internal video and photo capacity in the Secretariat and the chapters • Coordinate and sometimes execute the scripting of story boards to support audio-visual products • Coordinate the input and growth strategies of the institutional Flickr and YouTube channels.
Knowledge, experience and skills: • Bachelors degree in communications, journalism, creative design, film/cinema, political science, social studies or equivalent experience • Minimum of 5 years practical experience in relevant fields • In depth experience with video and photo editing using Final Cut Pro and Photoshop • Proven ability in visual storytelling, with a talent for making global issues tangible, relevant and human to diverse audiences. • Exemplary organisational skills and ability to multi-task under pressure • Knowledge of and interest in corruption, development issues and international affairs • Dynamic self starter; highly motivated, comfortable in taking initiative and able to work with minimum supervision, with a thorough eye for detail • Organised, dependable, flexible, highly articulate and discreet • Additional languages, especially Spanish and/or French are desirable.
