SGS South Africa Financial Manager
Responsible for the quality and accuracy of the financial reporting from all entities of the sub region ; responsible for the preparation of analytical reports and monthly commentary ; responsible for providing leadership and coordination to the operational managers on business planning, budgeting, accounting and auditing issues ; responsible for procurement.
•Assist the compilation and review of sub regional financial reporting for both regional management and Group Control, including monthly results, budgeting, and cash-flow forecasting.
•Management and commercial support on new developments, projects and acquisitions.
•Review of project submissions and preparation for approval process. Implementation and enforcement of Group and region-specific policies and procedures.
•Monitoring and follow up on Internal Audit recommendations.
•Assist regional management in identifying business risks and growth opportunities
•Monitoring compliance with local tax, treasury and dividend policies, and ensuring Group Treasury and Tax policies and procedures are adhered to.
•Procurement process implementation.
•Monitoring compliance with locally applicable laws and regulations.
•Monitoring the financial performance of Business entities/affiliates and recommending remedial actions to regional Management. •Prepare Capex projects for the Regional and the Group management.
Desired Skills & Experience
Finance and/or accounting qualification. Minimum 5-8 years financial experience in a management capacity. Experience of multi-cultural environments
•Ability to analyze and interpret financial data and to prepare financial reports, statements and/or forecasts. Must have knowledge of financial accounting systems.
•Ability to analyze financial systems requirements and provide recommendations to operational management.
•Must have a strong knowledge of financial accounting, budgeting, control, and reporting principles, methods, techniques, and standards
.•Ability to work under pressure.
•Ability to identify issues and implement the appropriate solutions.
•Ability to build trust and respect. •Ability to assess, coach, motivate and communicate with remote teams.
•Highly logical, methodical and task-oriented finance professional
