Position Description:
Moshi Urban Water Supply and Sanitation Authority [MUWSA) is a full autonomous utility responsible for the provision of safe water and collection and disposal of wastewater in Moshi, the town of Mt. Kilimanjaro. MUWSA is looking for dynamic, results driven individual to fill in the position of Commercial Manager in this leading Water Supply and Sanitation Authority in the Country.
This is a managerial position in which the position holder is required to oversee all Commercial Operations
Main Duties and Responsibilities
To head the Commercial Department
To create and implement short and long term business and strategic plan
To ensure timely follow-up of customers debts
To monitor accurate collection of bills and other charges of the Authority
To ensure proper attending of customers queries
To assess the market potential and maintain an accurate database of clients
Overall debt management of the Authority
To monitor operating cost performance within commercial targets
To conduct Customer Relations Management (CRM) campaigns (training sessions and review) and getting involved in and encourage stakeholders ‘wide discussion on CRM in order to improve service level of the Authority
Developing and implementing sound marketing strategies of different technical and management options for service delivery
To ensure the Authority has developed and institutionalized effective tools for improvement of customer service including customer service guidelines and procedures
Developing ways and means of increasing and monitoring customer satisfaction with a view of increasing service level of the Authority
To develop and coordinate all activities of the Authority which aim at revenue generation through billing and sales enhancement.
To develop and coordinate all activities of the Authority to generate sales through billing activities, follow up of payments and other sales generating activities
To develop and coordinate means to increase business undertaking of the Authority by diversifying sources of revenue
To coordinate the preparation of annual capital and operating budgets of the Commercial Department
To initiate and coordinate the activities of researching the needs, priorities and interests of customers and advice the Authority on proper directions and improving service delivery
To liaise with the Public Relation Officer on effective mechanisms for maintaining good ongoing relations with customers
To assist with major initiatives in commercial activities
To carry out any other official duties related to the above that they may be assigned by the Managing Director.
Minimum Job Requirements
Holder of Master Degree in Marketing or Business Administration from a recognized University.
Working experience
Minimum of five (5) years working experience in the same field from reputable organization.

Demonstrated good leadership qualities
Ability to work under pressure
High level of initiative, creativity and integrity
Age Limit
The applicant should be between 30 and 50 years of age.
Nature of Employment
Five years (5) renewable depending on the performance
Remuneration:
This position attracts a competitive salary at MUWSA 11 scale plus other fringe benefits.
