As our Senior Toolpusher, you play a key role in a drilling operation and get the chance to show your skills as a leader. You will be based on one of our deepwater rigs or new build drill ships operating in different locations globally. You report to the Offshore Installation Manager (OIM).

At the moment, we are building 4 new ultra deepwater drillships to match our growth and add to our fleet of state-of-the-art rigs over the next 2 years.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead a safe drilling operation...

As our new Senior Toolpusher, your primary responsibility will be to ensure that daily drilling operations are executed in accordance with Maersk Drilling procedures and safety regulations. To do so, you supervise daily activities on the rig, lead the drilling crew and make sure the operation is safe at all times.

In terms of safety you specifically:

• apply key elements of work environment risk analyses and emergency preparedness legislation in operations
• keep the drilling crew well acquainted with all emergency procedures
• ensure the drilling crew participates in emergency drills

An important part of the position will be to stay up to date on content of the contract between Maersk Drilling and the Operator and keep the Operator Representative advised on progress.

Finally, you ensure that work performed by service companies is according to good oil field practice.

Desired Skills & Experience

A Senior Toolpusher with extensive deepwater experience...

You are currently working in a similar offshore position with cyber base equipment and have been a Senior Toolpusher for minimum 1 year on a 5-6th generation deepwater rig or drill ship.

You also hold a Supervisor Well Control certificate issued by an internationally recognized provider. You are confident working with IT and possess good English communication skills.

Your background has made you conversant with safety management principles as well as quality and environment management principles.

As a leader, you possess great interpersonal skills and have the ability to communicate with people at all levels of the organisation. At the same time, you are direct and get to the point in a respectful manner and you know how to lead the way.

 Finally, you are loyal, committed to the team and always think safety first.
