Purpose:
The Construction Group, organized in Operations department, are responsible for all construction activities on existing facilities, both related to Minor Projects in existing facilities, Maintenance, Production support and assistance to Drilling and Marine departments.
The Construction Coordinators are preparing the offshore construction work, from design proposals through procurements, prefabrication, planning and construction execution. A close co-operation with the offshore Construction department and the stakeholders onshore are key to ensure a safe and efficient construction execution.
Principal Accountabilities:
This vacant position has to act as Team leader for a minor group of construction coordinators and should also be able to deal with below listed tasks.
The Construction Coordinators are responsible for:
· Coordination with engineering department, ensuring that constructional aspects are considered during all engineering and design phases
· In coordination with our offshore personnel, break down and prepare projects in stages manageable offshore
· Prepares job packages, descriptions, documents and job cards
· Ensure all required materials are procured and available in due time. This includes piping, mechanical, structural and E&I equipment
· Source and engage sub-contractors for fabrication of pre-assemblies
· Liaison with Production and Maintenance departments, to ensure smooth execution of related activities
· Participate in preparation and planning of Shut-down activities concerning tie-in works, modifications to existing facilities and Maintenance related replacements
Education:
He or she holds the following qualifications:
· an engineering degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or is a graduated marine engineer is preferred.
· Have thorough knowledge to relevant international codes, standards and practices.
Experience:
The candidate has the following experience:
· Understands and work by the Incident Free mindset and concept
· Minimum 5 year’s leadership experience
· Minimum 8-10 years experience in the oil and gas industry
· Offshore experience is preferred
· Practical knowledge and experience from the offshore oil and gas industry is required Have an all round understanding for and experience in upstream construction work

· Oil and gas process knowledge and understanding is required Have thorough knowledge to relevant international codes, standards and practices
· Have an all round understanding for and experience in upstream construction work
· Knowledge to construction materials and tools are required
· Knowledge to welding and assembly methods in steel, alloys and composites
· Protection methods against process and environmental induced corrosion are well known
· an understanding for basics in E&I disciplines and experience in support to E&I activities
