This is an exciting opportunity to play a key development role in a major project for the development of a Graduate School of Education at Nazarbayev University in Astana, Kazakhstan. We are looking for a self-motivated, enthusiastic colleague to co-ordinate the work of six Cambridge academics and a small team based at University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, in the production of a suite of documents which will inform the construction of a draft academic plan for the Graduate School. The work will be based largely in Cambridge, but with occasional visits to Philadelphia and Astana.
The successful candidate will have experience working in higher education as an administrator or an academic, will understand Masters level courses and will possess excellent management, organisational and IT skills, together with the ability to communicate effectively in speech and writing with a wide range of people.
The person appointed will have a key role in managing the work of the project, and will have the ability quickly to develop an understanding of the nature of the work being initiated, of the challenges faced in developing new programmes in emergent universities, and will be the initial point of contact for a wide range of interested parties.
