The Board of Electors to the Professorship of Education invite applications for this Professorship in the Faculty of Education. Preference will be given to persons whose work is connected with the study of Psychology in Education. This permanent appointment is available from 1 October 2012 or as soon as possible thereafter.
The Professor will provide research leadership in Psychology in Education and relevant teaching and supervision within the Faculty, contribute to planning and examining within the Faculty and to the administration of the Psychology and Education academic group. In addition s/he will provide advice and guidance to students and carry out Faculty-wide administrative duties.
Candidates should hold a PhD in a relevant specialist subject area, have the ability to conduct original and innovative research which contributes to the advancement of knowledge in Psychology in Education nationally and internationally; have an established portfolio of internationally distinguished research publications; have evidence of familiarity with the leading edge developments in their field of research; and demonstrated capability in university teaching and supervision at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
