Position: Deputy Finance and Admin Manager

Reports to: Country Finance Manager
Position Summary:
The Project Finance Manager is responsible for: • Smooth running the day-to-day financial operations at the field level. • Supervision and training of all field national finance/admin officers and managers. • Preparation of monthly financial reports per RI reporting requirements • Preparations of donor reports. • Preparation of Monthly and Quarterly Consolidated Portfolio Reports including key portfolio performance indicators.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
• Ensure that monthly expense reports are correctly prepared and submitted to country office on time. • Reviews project budget to actual reports and monitors the burn rates. • Assists Finance Manager in preparation of monthly financial statements. • Prepares quarterly and annual financial reports to donors according to their reporting format. • Ensures compliance with RI, audit and donor requirements and assists in preparation of annual audits • Responsible in the project’s cash flow and management • Ensure adequate controls over cash and is constantly monitored & updated to minimize the risk of fraud or misappropriation. • Provide management of the Field office operation. • Maintain all files and personnel documentation. (Records management) • Encourage good working relationships between Staff. • Provide support to program operations, if need be. • Assist to organize Field office and compound in order to achieve proper and safe working environment. • Timely tracking and reporting of RI Field fixed assets (non-expendable property) • Other duties assigned to her/him by the Country Finance Manager
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
This position demands a dynamic individual with a demonstrated ability to achieve results in a demanding and fast paced environment.
• Knowledge of full-cycle accounting • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, tasks efficiently. • Bachelor’s degree required in accounting, CPA or in the process of taking the exam is favorable.
• A minimum of 3 years prior accounting experience with an international NGO • Excellent written & verbal communications and computer literacy skills required. • Excellent time management skills and resourcefulness with a very strict attention to detail. • Acquaintance with QuickBooks & SunSytems Software is required • Salary: Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
