The Busoga Trust, a UK based WASH NGO operating mainly in Uganda, is seeking to recruit a Project Area Manager to project manage its Masindi project area.

The project is almost exclusively funded by one partner, The Water Trust/Busoga Trust America (currently re-branding), for whom you will also be required to provide high quality, comprehensive partner relations. You will also be required to manage close relationships with local government.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level with at least one year of field experience (preferably in a WASH/public health context), along with a basic understanding of budgeting, report writing, managing staff, analysing statistics and working comfortably with software such as Excel. The Busoga Trust has 5 such programme areas in Uganda, which all report to the Ugandan Central office in Jinja. This is the base of the Ugandan Country Manager to whom the Project Area Manager reports. We are well established within the Ugandan WASH sector, having 27 years of operational experience and a key member of UWASNET (the Ugandan Water & Sanitation Network).
