Serengeti Breweries Ltd (SBL) operates exclusively in Tanzania and is the 2 nd largest beer company with a market share of 27.9%. It is an integrated demand/supply business with 3 operational breweries in Dar and Mwanza, and a third one built in Moshi, which is situated in the northern part of the country near the Tanzanian border. SBL’s flagship brand is our award winning Premium Serengeti lager, the Serengeti Brand Portfolio accounts for 51% of beer sales volumes and 42% of total volumes for SBL. Accountabilities:
Implement and Execute the Innovation Pipeline
- Brief and concept development of proposed innovations for SBL based on customer motivations/needs or insights.
- Lead the translation of the Innovation Pipeline into insight driven &commercially viable project Gate papers to be approved by the Innovation Decision Makers.
- Lead the development of the commercial launch plan in terms ensuring that there is Capex Plan (if applicable by Business Engineering Manager) Consumer (Brand Manager), Trade (Distribution Manager) and Production (Brand Change Manger)&launch plan for the product/brand.
- Continuously come up with new ideas/solutions that contribute to the growth of market share and share these with Innovation Decision stakeholders.
- Maintain information and documentation for Innovation in relation to Marketing Control Days & GAR Audit.
- Conduct monthly Innovation meetings with Core Project Team/s /Group Innovation(Group Innovation projects) to review Innovation project action plans & deliverables and recommend and agree remedial actions, if any.
- Ensure that all projects, approvals and resource are overseen and managed using NaviGateÒ process and Group Innovation team for group innovation projects.
- Manage suppliers and stakeholders based on agreed Service Level Agreements for the delivery of concepts & budget, financial viability for projects, competitive sourcing and purchase order generation.
- To understand consumer and market dynamics to make regular trade visits and attending research testing for Innovation.
- Represent SBL in the monthly Group Innovation meetings.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
QualifijcationsEducated to Graduate level preferably in a Marketing or a business related field.
Skills & KnowledgeThe role requires:

Experience
- Minimum 2 years in Sales/ Marketing /Innovation or New Business Development at a FMCG company.
- Knowledge and understanding of Consumer Insight generation, advertising, media concepts, Strategy formulation, Trade channels and their working.
