EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES
The Ministry of Home Affairs in close collaboration with UNHCR, the World Bank and other partners is implementing various activities to provide refugee relief support and finding durable solutions to the plight of refugees by way of voluntary repatriation, grant of citizenship by naturalization and resettlement to a third country. To fulfill this mandate, the Ministry of Home Affairs, has set aside some Project Funds, to be utilized in the recruitment of professionally, suitable candidates.
In this regard the Ministry is hereby inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced Tanzanians to fill the understated vacancies that currently exist in Refugee Service Department, Ministry of Home Affairs.
REGISTRATION CLERKS (5 POSTS)
Appointing Authority - Permanent Secretary
Responsible to - Settlement Officers
Employment Terms - One year contract – renewable
Salary Scale - Negotiable
Duty station - Nyarugusu Refugee Camp
Required minimum qualifications
Possession of form six/four level of education, computer skills (Ms Office) and prior exposure in registration of refugees in database as an added advantage.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Conduct regular registration and verification of refugees and asylum seekers approaching respective registration center.
• Ensure that registration and verification of refugees and asylum seekers is conducted in database in accordance with agreed standards and SOPs.
• Ensure that physical files and registration/verification forms of refugees and asylum seekers approaching registration centre are duly filled and signed by the applicants in accordance with respective instructions and SOPs.
• Preserve the confidentiality of work and not to pass information to anyone except the co-workers group and his/her supervisor.
• To update recurrent statistical reports regularly for analysis.
• Act as an interpreter and translator when needed.
• To perform any other duties as will be required.
